Delivery

HIAB Lorry

Crane-equipped delivery for bulk and mini bulk bags, and pallets of slabs, bricks, and block paving. Places heavy goods over walls, fences, and hedges up to roughly 5 metres from the kerbside, depending on weight and access.

Delivery & collection

Grab Lorry

Ideal for moving material into or out of otherwise inaccessible locations, reaching over low walls and fences. A practical option where a tipper simply cannot get close enough to the working area.

Bulk loads

Large Tipper

For loose aggregates in volume, or the collection of muck away and demolition arisings. Typically used on construction sites and larger building contracts where bagged material is not practical.

We can order in septic tanks to match your drawing requirements as a special order, delivered to site or held at your local branch for collection. Bring your specification and we will source the right unit.

Roof Trusses

Our supplier can take off directly from your drawings, so every truss is designed and cut to fit as it should. Reduces on-site adjustment and costly errors on complex roof lines. Extra fees may apply.

Crane and grab deliveries are kerbside or within reach of the vehicle - drivers cannot place goods inside buildings.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which delivery vehicle will I need?

Bulk bags and palletised goods usually go on a HIAB crane lorry. Loose aggregates in volume travel by tipper. If the drop point is behind a wall or fence, or you need material taken away, a grab lorry is normally the answer. Tell us your access details when ordering and we will assign the right vehicle.

How far from the kerb can a crane lorry place my delivery?

Up to around 5 metres from the kerbside, over walls or bushes, depending on the weight of the goods and the access available. These are large vehicles, so restrictions apply on narrow lanes and streets with parking on both sides.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery is currently running at 1-5 working days because of high demand. Local delivery is free on orders over £20. If you have a fixed site date, call your branch and we will do our best to work to it.

Can I collect concrete rather than have it delivered?

Yes. Our Great Yarmouth and Clacton branches mix concrete for collection using volumetric mixers, so you take only what you need and avoid paying for a part-used load.
